IPC-J-STD-001 for Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) 11-NOV-2024
IPC-J-STD-001, Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies, has emerged as the preeminent authority for electronics assembly manufacturing requirements. This certification covers the materials, methods and acceptance criteria to create high-quality soldered connections while emphasizing process control and setting industry-consensus requirements for the whole range of electronic products.
This certification utilises a combination of lecture and hands-on workmanship samples to enhance the soldering skills, knowledge and performance of candidates. Previous soldering experience is recommended, as to earn certification, participants must demonstrate lab soldering skills meeting J-STD-001 Class 3 minimum requirements.

Inspection Methods
The certification term for IPC J-STD-001 Certified IPC Trainers is two years. Re-certification training will be available at IPC Authorised J-STD-001 Training and Certification Centres.

The fee for the J-STD-001 Certified IPC Trainer course includes all materials for the course and (after successful completion of the course) the IPC-J-STD-001 Registered Instructors Kit and a sofy-copy of the IPC-J-STD-001 Standard.
