Tony works at the Australian Centre for Robotics and previously in the Mechatronics Group at Victoria University of Wellington. He works with researchers and stakeholders to implement complete field-ready electrical systems for underwater autonomous vehicles and ground robots.
PCBAs - With Great Power Comes Great Telemetry
This session will focus on the challenges involved in designing small-volume PCBA prototypes for space-constrained applications where efficiency (in terms of both power and turnaround time) is critical. Modularity and design-reuse at a PCBA level will be covered. Implementing telemetry and failover for maintaining high reliability in robotic platforms will also be discussed.
